BEATING MCENROE BY HOSSU – TRAILER

Simultaneously, the show explores Niina Hosiasluoma’s competitive spirit and an English actor as charismatic and beautiful as Björn Borg. The original piece was performed by Jamie C. Wood about a decade ago. Hosiasluoma’s version premiered as the main piece of the Timeless Art Festival in the fall of 2023.

NORMAL CAKE PLEASE

“Normal Cake, Please” is equivalent to a fictional wedding at Paavali Church, Helsinki, in July 2021. This surprising and site-specific English-language performance questions the nature of freedom, the necessity of a wedding cake, and, most importantly, what is considered normal. The audience is invited to engage with the subject matter, helping resolve the conundrum faced by the characters: what kind of union will be formed, and who will end up with whom.

Team: Nina Larissa Bassett (DK), Ivo Briedis (LV), Janne Saarakkala (FI), Jamie MacDonald (FI/CA), Raisa Omaheimo (FI), Kira Riikonen (FI), Dajo Vande Putte (DK), Viha Piirakka (FI), Varanka (FI), Paula Koivunen (FI), Janne Pellinen (FI), Mikko Helenius (FI), Thomas Burø (DK), Beáta Kublik (DK), VIDEOS Jonna Wikström
